Beach Buddy brings together available weather, ocean, marine and coastal-safety information from multiple data sources. Availability, update timing and coverage vary by location and by the source providing the information.
Beach Buddy also includes community hazard reporting to help increase awareness of changing conditions.
What beaches does Beach Buddy cover?
Beach Buddy provides information for more than 10,000 beaches and coastal locations worldwide, with coverage continuing to expand.

What camera views are available?
Beach Buddy's growing coastal camera network includes beach cams, underwater cameras and aerial or drone views from coastal destinations around the world.
Feed availability can change because individual cameras and video providers control their own streams and content.
What information is on the Global Shark Map?
Beach Buddy's Global Shark Map brings together shark sightings, reported incidents, tagged-shark movement and historical context to provide greater awareness of shark activity around the coast.
Shark information should be used as one part of your overall awareness of current ocean conditions, not as a guarantee that sharks are present or absent.
What does Beach Buddy monitoring do?
Premium users can select coastal locations they care about and use Beach Buddy's personalized monitoring tools to help keep track of relevant changes around those locations.
Notifications may include available weather, ocean-condition, marine-hazard or shark-related information depending on the location and available data.
What is the 30-Day Vacation Pass?
The Beach Buddy Vacation Pass provides 30 days of all-access use for a one-time $2.99 purchase.
It does not create a subscription and does not automatically renew. When the 30 days end, the account returns to the Free plan unless another pass or a Pro subscription is purchased.
Can I use Beach Buddy without an internet connection?
Current weather, ocean conditions, hazard information, camera feeds and other live or frequently changing information require an internet connection.
Some information that was previously loaded may remain visible temporarily on your device, but cached information should not be treated as current coastal or safety data.
What is Coastal IQ trivia?
Coastal IQ is Beach Buddy's interactive beach and ocean trivia experience, designed to make learning about the coast, marine life and ocean awareness fun.
Free users can enjoy trivia without cash awards. Eligible premium trivia opportunities may include cash awards when offered, subject to the applicable contest rules and eligibility requirements.
